Simple Measures April 16, 2010

This April, Clarinetist Sean Osborn leads an uplifting program featuring composer Thomas Albert’s piece “13 ways” inspired by the Wallace Stevens Poem “13 Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.” Avian artwork by Tacoma artist Mark Hoppmann will be on display as Simple Measures musicians use their informal, up-close and interactive format to play several pieces inspired by air and airborne creatures, including a brand new composition by Andrew Sigler.
