Simple Cold Connections with Rikki Mitman May 11, 2011

Cold connection is a method of joining metals without solder. You will learn two simple methods of cold connection: wire rivets and tube rivets. You will learn to measure and fit rivets, drill the metal, then set the rivets into a practice pendant of copper, brass, and sterling. We will discuss making rivets part of your design, as well as making them blend in. We will also do some texturing and talk about finishing metal pieces. A handout provides additional information on sources and techniques.
