A cold connection is a method of joining metals without soldering. In this class, you will learn two simple methods of cold connection: wire rivets and tube rivets. You will see how to measure and fit rivets, and you will set them into a practice pendant of copper, brass, and sterling. We will discuss how to make rivets part of your design, as well as how to make them blend in. We will also do some texturing and talk about finishing metal pieces. A handout provides additional information on sources and techniques.

If you have any these, bring them:

· Bench Block
· Small jeweler's or riveting hammer
· Beading mat (the velux kind)
· Needle files

(The instructor will also have tools for the class to share.)
