“Silverio: A drunk, an elegant dandy, a womanizer, a kick-ass showman, a provocateur, an icon at any club... he is a phenomenon in today’s entertainment/music industry."
~ Blender magazine
Head to the Contemporary for a rare St. Louis performance by Silverio, an electronic rocker who is a phenomenon in Mexico City and abroad because of his party music sound and outrageous live performances.
“Silverio is the alter ego of Julian Lede from Chilpancingo, México. Silverio has become the hottest thing to come out of the hottest clubs Mexico. With the motto "Mucho Macho Poco Brain", his live show sees him strip off to electro synth alongside a team of gyrating dancers - one of whom is a former Playboy Playmate. Silverio's releases, on the Nuevos Ricos label, have been banned by MTV, Telehit and most TV channels. How crazy do his performances get? His recent performance at Mexico City's Modern Art Museum was broken up by police.”
"This electronic party music sounds like it came from the Stone Age with kick ass live shows that are a total blast when compared with the insipid and boring shows of the so- called cool electronic music scene. The CD His Majesty Silverio shook the Mexican music scene and featured the worldwide hit, “Yepa-Yepa-Yepa” which has gone multi-platinum.”
Silverio is a phenomenon in Mexico City and abroad with his party music sound and outrageous live performances. Represented by artist-run record label Nuevos Ricos, founded in 2004 by visual artist Carols Amorales, composer Julian Lede, and graphic designer André Pahl. The label has an innovate approach that works as a platform to expose their radical ideas about performance, music and show business. Nuevos Ricos focuses on a number of rock and electronic acts with tremendous stage presence.
