Silver Circuit Presents Senior Moments at Boulder Fringe
The Silver Circuit will present Senior Moments at the Boulder International Fringe Festival, August 19 – 28.
Senior Moments consists of four funny, poignant, and slightly naughty short plays about seniors. The plays were commissioned by The Silver Circuit from award-winning local playwright Don Fried, who also directs the production.

Senior Moments played to full houses in Colorado in early 2010 at the Theater Company of Lafayette and at the Longmont Senior Center. It was also presented as Coal Creek Community Theater’s entry to the 2010 Colorado Community Theater Coalition Festival.

“The Code,” which is the first play in Senior Moments, won first prize at the 2009 Front Range Playwrights’ Showcase at Coal Creek Community Theater in Louisville. “It’s a 10 minute gem” wrote Boulder Camera Theater Critic Mark Collins. “The comedy is funny, surprising, and deals with senior sexuality.”

Says Fried, “The response to the plays has been overwhelming. It’s clear that the themes resonate with seniors and younger people alike. Most importantly, seniors love to laugh at themselves, and nothing is taboo.”

Featured in Senior Moments are popular local professional actors Timothy Englert and Ellen Ranson.
