Let's explore and learn more about improv together! I have taken a bunch of BATS classes since January, and there are many exercises I want to play with in more depth. Topics include, but are not limited to, 'making offers', connecting with scene partners, building narrative, building relationships, staying positive, daring to be dull, etc. I would love to do that with other self-identified shy folks or shy improvisers.
You're a good fit if any of this resonates for you -- you take improv classes but rarely volunteer to get in front of the whole group, you've ever ditched a class because you got too shy, you're curious about improv but are too shy to take a class, you just want to play in a setting where you can take your time and not try to be funny, witty, fearless, original, quick, etc... or you're curious if a group of people who use some of the agreements of improv (accept/justify) end up being funny/interesting without having to be super witty...
I'll bring the games. You can just show up and play. Beginners welcome.
The cost is only $5-10 each (to cover space rental).
RSVP to the organizer to reserve a space.
