In the landscape of Philippine music, there has never been a collection of successful female singers to grace a concert series, until now says Bennie Lagos of Caselin Productions. If you missed their INCREDIBLE show at San Jose State Event Center last month, heres your opportunity. Divas 4 Divas showcases four of the Philippines premier female artists for a concert that will entertain and inspire. Never has an undertaking like this been done for the Philippine audience. Conceived by Kuh Ledesma, it debuted its first show last December in one of Manilas largest (20,000 people) and legendary venues the Araneta Coliseum, Divas 4 Divas has entertained in the United States and Canada and the Filipino community is buzzing! And why wouldnt they be? One look at the names and youll understand why. The legendary cast includes: Kuh Ledesma (Pop Diva), Regine Velazquez (Asias Songbird), Zsa Zsa Padilla (Divine Diva), and Pops Fernandez (Concert Queen). The 4 divas will momentarily shed their respective phenomenal titles and simply present themselves as the "4 Divas" who has one goal: "celebrate friendship, music and everything beautiful!" Those in attendance on opening night witnessed 3 hours of world-class performance ending with a medley of dance hits such as "We Are Family", "Night Life", "Shake that Groove Thing," to name a few. In past shows, one of the songs was dedicated to the "greatest divas" in the life of the 4 divas: their moms. Other songs on the play list pay tribute to the artists who made them famous including Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Bryan Adams. Most of the songs in the show's repertoire were rearranged to flaunt the individual strength of each diva's vocal prowess. Add to that about 12 costume changes, with matching capes, hair accessories, shoes and boots to die for, and glittering pieces of jewelry, a top backing band, great stage presentation and you have a night to remember long after the last curtain call! The jam-packed audience at the Araneta Coliseum would have wanted to listen to them forever, but the estimated 40 songs performed by the singers were more than enough to say Divas 4 Divas is the "best show ever."
