Art of Time Ensemble in association with Harbourfront Centre presents Shostakovich: A Centenary Celebration. With a combination of classical and jazz music, this remarkable evening of performance highlights the life and work of the great Russian composer Dimitri Shostakovich. A dynamic program, it features two of Shostakovitch?s most renowned works and a rarely performed Jazz Suite accompanied by a world premiere dance solo choreographed and performed by Andrea Nann. As an introduction, actor Ross Petty reads from Shostakovich?s diaries and correspondences. Now in its seventh season, Art of Time is one of Toronto's most innovative music ensembles.
