At the shrill ring of a fire alarm, firefighter Willam Noonan grabs his dependable equipment—his camera. For over thirty years as a photographer and fire historian, he has captured on film the intensity and power of fire, and the courage and camaraderie of the men and women who fight it. In this illustrated lecture, Noonan shares his remarkable and moving images and discusses what these and other historical photographs tell us about the firefighting in Boston.
