Shine to Wine Festival May 5, 2007

Historic Downtown North Wilkesboro's third annual Shine to Wine festival will again be held in the county known as the ''moonshine capital of the world.'' The 2006 festival featured eleven wineries, a delicacy known as ''shine balls,'' live music, food, and plenty of local color. This year's festival promises to be bigger and better and is dedicated to the life and memory of NASCAR legend and sportscaster, Wilkes County's own Benny Parsons with the unveiling of a preview to the Benny Parsons Museum.
