Sheep Shearing Day April 18, 2009

View demonstrations of shearing, cleaning, carding, spinning and weaving as you discover the important role sheep played in the lives of Carolinians in the 1800s. Visit Historic Brattonsville’s rare breed of Gulf Coast Sheep, descendants of sheep brought to Florida from Spain in the 1500s. Learn more about our Heritage Breeds program.

At 2 p.m., enjoy a fashion show highlighting clothing styles of the 1840s.
