After a long exhibition history in the southwest, west coast and east coast, Shawna Moore will be debuting her first solo show in the Midwest. Moore's paintings evolve directly from her practice of journaling and freeform painting and drawing. Each panel encompasses her daily meditations in the form of flowing text. The script that dances across each piece is her personal sutra and acts as a highly condensed drawing. Compressed into the layers of melted wax are her insights, failings, breath and actions. Embodied in each panel are general truths about how she conducts her life.
