Seattle’s top chefs and restaurants gather for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation, presented by American Express, to help raise funds for Share Our Strength’s fight to end childhood hunger in Seattle and across America.
Seattle’s event - taking place on Thursday, July 19, from 6-9 p.m. at the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center - is part of an annual effort by thousands of the best chefs and restaurants across the country who donate their time, talent and cuisine to create more than 60 events throughout the United States and Canada. Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation raises millions of dollars to help the more than 12 million children who face hunger in their communities and around the country.
More than 65 of Seattle’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and coffee roasters, donate their time and specialties to provide delectable bites for event guests while raising monies and awareness to fight hunger. Highlights include the Food and Wine Lover's Live Auction and The Wheel of Giving. Seattle’s top chefs, include Tom Douglas, Tom Black, John Howie, Joseba de Jiménez, Holly Smith, Thierry Rautureau, and Jerry Traunfeld, among others.
100 percent of the ticket sales go directly to the fight against hunger. Magnum Level Admission: $200 per person; grants early admission at 5pm and access to our 20th anniversary reception and VIP after party. General Admission: advance $125 per person and day-of $150 per person, includes access to the event from 6-9pm, free self-parking, musical entertainment, a commemorative 20th anniversary wine glass, a mini live auction, two Wheels of Giving, and a raffle.
