The Shakespeare Concerts 2007 presents Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day, an evening of music inspired by the bard. Tenor Alan Schneider, soprano Eve Gigliotti and mezzo-soprano Kellie Van Horn are joined by Boston’s Quartet X, pianist and music director John McGinn, and other artists to perform Sonnet XVIII, Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day, and other sonnets and scenes from the works of Shakespeare by Joseph Summer; Ophelia arias by Hector Berlioz and Johannes Brahms; and three divertimenti for string quartet by Benjamin Britten.
