Enjoy an evening of live chamber music when the Shafran Ensemble returns to Crowell Public Library, Tuesday January 5th, enhanced by the great acoustics of the Barth Community Room.
The Shafran Ensemble, named for the famous Russian cellist, Daniel Shafran, includes a San Marino High School graduate, Tobias Morris (cello) and his sister Rebecca (viola), who is a current student at the High School. Tobias attends the famous Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and is home for the holidays. The Ensemble also includes Dian Zhang (violin), Sharon Han (violin), Yuri Kim (clarinet) and Jason Kim (cello), all of whom have achieved impressive honors in their young careers performing locally and abroad.
The Ensemble will perform Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet in A Major, Beethoven’s Op. 59, No. 3 – 4th Movement, and solo works by J.S. Bach and Zoltan Kodaly.
This free concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and seating will be on a first come, first served basis. You won’t want to miss this evening of beautiful music!
