The story of Sephardic Jews remains a mystery to many. In this interactive workshop, (not a performance) presented by international Ladino singer Sarah Aroeste, we will examine together a series of Ladino folksongs, rhythms, proverbs and more as a window into the rich vibrancy of Ladino music and culture through the ages to today.

Inspired by her Sephardic roots from Spain and Greece, Sarah Aroeste has spent the last decade working to bring Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) music back to life for a new generation. Traveling the globe fusing both original and 15th-century Ladino folk songs with her unique blend of rock, funk, jazz and blues, Ms. Aroeste has helped to transform and revitalize a waning tradition. Find out about her new album Gracia at www.saraharoeste.com.
