7:00 PM - THE HAUNTING (1963) 112 mins. Based on the novel "The Haunting of Hill Hse" by Shirley Jackson - the most atmospheric, spooky, scary, well-acted ghost story ever put on film. Truly a classic - with Julie Harris and Claire Bloom (not to be confused with that awful thing with Zeta-Jones and Liam Neeson a few years back - that one sucked. This one doesn't)

DON'T LOOK NOW - (1974) 110 mins.- a classic, based on the short story by Daphne DuMaurier. With Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie, this film directed by Nicholas Roeg was nominated for, and won, numerious awards, including the BAFTRAs and an Edgar. An American architect living in Venice, Italy with his wife on a getaway after the death of their young daughter, begins to question his sanity when he begins having a series of disturbing and fragmented premonitions which coincides with a series of murders in the city.
