Sunshine Fortress
Unlike other sketch comedy groups that spend most of their time trying to entertain people with short comedic skits or "sketches" the number one priority for Sunshine Fortress is community involvement. In the 2years they have been together they have spearheaded such programs as "Toys For Fat Kids" and the "Cancer Isn't Funny It's Sad Awareness Project" . "We've always felt that fat kids needed toys that, because of poison, they wouldn't be able to eat," says group leader Nicole Calasich, "and lets face it, cancer is no joke!" Group co-founder Matt Lieb agrees, "I agree". Other members include Amelia Kardooni, Sam Chase, Max Hartman, and Mary Van Note, and Joe Pesci, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Diani & Devine
They met, fell in love, and decided their careers were more important than any possible damage working together might have on their relationship. Gabriel Diani and Etta Devine have since become known for their intelligent and witty blend of stand-up and sketch comedy, recalling the classic ground-breaking comedians of the 50's and 60's such as Nichols and May, Bob Newhart, and Bill Cosby. They perform at comedy clubs and festivals all over the country and recently won the 2nd Annual International Sketch Comedy Competition.

Ronna and Beverly
Come laugh it up Kosher-Style with Ronna Glickman (Jessica Chaffin) and Beverly Ginsberg (Jamie Denbo), co-authors of the best selling relationship book, "You'll Do a Little Better Next Time: A Guide to Marriage and Re-marriage for Jewish Singles (You won’t listen to your mother, but you might listen to her best friends!)” From Scarsdale to Scottsdale, Ronna and Beverly have visited various synagogues, Hillel houses and the occasional family room promoting their book and speaking about the issues they know best; love, Jews, Neiman Marcus and their children. (Neither of them has had any work done.)

This event is part of SF Sketchfest, which run January 10 - 27. Highlights of this year's fest include a rare performance by The Kids in the Hall, a "Freaks and Geeks" reunion, and RiffTrax Live (featuring Michael Nelson, Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy of Mystery Science Theater 3000) at the Castro Theatre.
