For the photographer, correctly scheduling and budgeting a post-production process has become an integral, and sometimes stressful, part of estimating the photo shoot. The retoucher and their style can completely transform images. In this meet-up, we will learn and discuss how to better collaborate, manage workflow and become better prepared to negotiate and communicate with clients.
Kate Chase's career began over twenty years ago at Wild Studios in Los Angeles, where she worked as a business manager for a dozen airbrush masters of commercial & entertainment art. In 1994, and after a decade of comprehensive management she became an emissary for Wild Studios in San Francisco and helped launch their satellite venture, Imagic, into digital retouching and where Kate's five-year impassioned commitment to sales & project management contributed deeply to a national reputation for producing stellar art for advertising. At the turn of 2006, Kate took notice of some of the industry's finest independent artists as they headed in new directions and realized a role in a new category of representation. Hence, the inception of Kate Chase Presents and its mission statement to promote retoucher's as craftsmen -- to continually educate and raise awareness for a collection of independent artisans as strong resources and leaders for creative solutions and to coordinate creative digital projects for those who value the best in print.
