San Francisco Opera 18th Annual Opening Night Gala on

SEPTEMBER 11, 2009

Join San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Bravo! Club and the
San Francisco Opera Guild as we join forces on two unique events under one roof in support of Opera Education.

Bravo! Club patrons will indulge in a decadent pre-performance cocktail reception at
San Francisco City Hall catered by McCall Associates
and enjoy a performance by
Danica Sena Flamenco & Spanish Dance.

Followed by
Verdi’s Il Trovatore
Opera performance at San Francisco War Memorial Opera House.
Nicola Luisotti will make his debut performance as San Francisco Opera’s Music Director.

Gala patrons will proceed to a post-performance seated dinner at
San Francisco City Hall
Followed by a dancing reception that will keep everyone dancing into the late hours of the night!!!

Join Bravo! Club as we
Indulge in the impassioned arias and revolutionary impulses of
Verdi’s masterpiece Il Trovatore.
Experience this epic story of ill-fated love as a Gypsy plots to avenge her mother’s wrongful death and catches in her vengeful web a corrupt count, a dashing warrior and the woman they both love.
