YO-YO GIRL COP is from Kenta Fukasaku, the screenwriter and producer of Battle Royale and screenwriter/director of Battle Royale II Requiem. This complex crime thriller is based on the manga series “Sukeban Deka” that has sold 20 million copies to date and has been adapted into two films, three high-rating live action television series, and an animation series.
YO-YO GIRL COP follows a secret agent who is highly trained in martial arts, armed with a deadly steel yo-yo and an undercover identity, “K”. YO-YO GIRL COP brims with action, mystery and suspense, as the secret agent wields her dangerous yo-yo in an attempt to infiltrate and foil the plans of an underground, radical teen group before they can achieve their apocalyptic plot to destroy the city.
This big-screen limited engagement followed by the commercial DVD release of YO-YO GIRL COP, available starting July 17 from Magnolia Home Entertainment.
