SF Online Community Report MeetUp, Wed. July 22nd, 7 PM July 15, 2009

The fourth Wed. of the month is the free monthly gathering of online
community managers, enthusiasts, and innovators to meet and discuss tools and strategies for building and managing effective communities.

Remember that guy who walked around with a web cam attached to his head, filming his life as he went through his day? Justin Kan pioneered the
concept of "lifestreaming" and the http://www.justin.tv/ platform has since opened up to any users wanting to lifestream. Justin will be joining us at our July MeetUp to speak about lifestreaming, online video, and the online and offline community implications that video streaming presents. Justin talk will lead us into a discussion of the role of video in online communities and strategies for using video to effectively engage users.

Speaker Bio: Justin Kan is a founder and president of Justin.tv
http://www.justin.tv/ . After graduating from Yale with dual degrees
in physics and philosophy, Justin founded Kiko Software, the first
AJAX-enabled web calendar. After the sale of Kiko in 2006, Justin
