We'll discuss the kinds of online communities that form around instant messaging services of all kinds and how these compare and relate to other online communities of practice.

Speaker Bio: Vinnie Lauria is VP of Product Strategy at Meetro, a location-aware messenger. Prior to Meetro he was at IBM, where he helped define how social software products could be used in the enterprise. He spends much of his time following the trend of social software and its cultural impact on society.
