Noise Pop is pleased to present the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's annual College Night on September 21, 2006. Admission is free for all Bay Area college students, faculty, and staff with valid I.D.

Starting at 6:30 pm, the event will feature a lecture by San Francisco artist Rex Ray, an accomplished and award-winning graphic artist who has produced designs for books, magazines, rock posters, and compact disc covers, including recent projects for Steven Spielberg and David Bowie.

The reception, curated by Noise Pop, will begin at 7 pm, and will feature two DJ sets by Jimmy Tamborello (from The Postal Service, dntel, and James Figurine). Figurine's new album "Mistake Mistake Mistake Mistake" was recently released on Plug Research and features contributions from Jenny Lewis and graphic designer Geoff McFetridge. Grooves Magazine called Tamborello's album, "an absolute delight from start to finish;" "a veritable master class in electronic pop song craft."

The event will also feature a live performance by San Francisco's own Paradise Boys, who according to Juxtapoz Magazine, find inspiration "in Acid-House and Italo-Disco, combining it with the vital energy of early Factory and Rough Trade." Paradise Boys' Jefordisac is one-half of local electro DJ sensation, Frisco Disco.

College Night starts at 6pm. Admission is free for Bay Area college students, faculty, and staff with valid ID. Admission for non-students is half price. For more information go to www.sfmoma.org.
