Create a sexual harassment and bullying free environment. Learn what behaviour is unacceptable, how to handle it, why you must have zero tolerance and learn and practice, best practice. This is a practical interactive course with real Australian case studies. It covers the Australian anti discrimination legislation, how to identify discrimination, sexual harassment behaviours and bullying. What behaviours are unacceptable and illegal? It covers anti discrimination and harassment complaints procedures, your rights and obligations, consequences, costs to individuals and the organisation and preventative responsibilities of managers and supervisors, including performance improvement counselling and coaching processes. You gain practical skills to handle sexual harassment and bullying that you can apply immediately in your workplace. More than 25 years after sexual harassment was made illegal, discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying claims are increasing in blue and white collar workforces. We must be more aware of changing values and legislation. This course will open your eyes to new legal avenues available to employees, steps you must take to reduce risks of claims, and allow you to learn and practice assertive skills, what to say and how to say it.
