Settlement Legacy: Native Americans of the Pass of the North October 2, 2011

his exhibit, including historic images and cultural artifacts, is dedicated to the Tigua Indians of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, but also recognizes the contributions of all of the area's native people. The exhibit opening will be attended by tribal members and will honor Mrs. Herminia Silvas, Tigua tribal elder; and Mr. Tom Diamond, tribal attorney, who helped restore tribal rights for Ysleta del Sur Pueblo. The exhibit also commemorates Mr. Santiago Bustamante, Tribal Chief, who died this past December.
