Seth Adam creates compelling, accessible, timeless rock music with honest lyrics. With influences ranging from Counting Crows, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, his songs demonstrate a deft pop-sensibility and a compelling vulnerability which continue to touch an ever-growing and remarkably diverse fan base. A critical element in Seth Adam's growing popularity has been the passion and impact of the group's live performances. Seth Adam, the former front man and songwriter for the Connecticut-based band Green Inside, has assembled a crack line-up of seasoned musicians that bring color from a wide spectrum of musical genres. These band members, fluent in the language of jazz, R&B, hard rock, alt-country, and classic pop, propel the live show and give a modern and forceful lift to Adam's vintage musical vision. This assemblage (Seth Adam-vocals, acoustic and electric guitar; Gerry Giaimo - lead guitar, banjo and vocals; Lorin Pellegrino - bass; Anthony Bianco - drums; Fred DiLeone Hammond, Rhodes and Wurlitzer; and Sean Miller mandolin, guitar and vocals) is a melting pot of talent, a singular unit with a common stride and that create timeless pop-rock music in both the American and British traditions. Having performed with artists such as Will Hoge and Alexa Ray Joel, and throughout the Northeast at regular showcases at venues which include the Bitter End and Piano's in New York City NY, Johnny Ds and the Paradise in Boston MA, Toads Place in New Haven CT, and Grape Street in Philadelphia PA, Seth Adam and his band have put together a show of amazing energy. The shows continue to convert the most unattached, jaded listener into believers with liberal doses of brawny electric guitar and sensitive acoustic forays, which are flooded with sweat and emotion. It is no wonder that Seth Adam's performance recently caused FoxNews.com's Roger Friedman to proclaim, "Adam's appearance last night in New York was a rock revelation. The Connecticut kid may be rock's next Matchbox Twenty, or more." Also tonight, Greg Smith will be performing. After performing in numerous bands since age 10, as a vocalist, guitarist, piano player, drummer, bassist and saxophonist, the Punk/Folk Rocker from Western Mass, is now pooling his talents in a solo project based in NYC. Greg Smith and the Broken English consists of Smith on Lead Vocals, Harmonicas, and Guitar both electric and accoustic. He is backed by three other members. Sean Tuccilio:on Drums; has been playing with Smith for several years now, they've worked together through projects as diverse as oldies and motown to hard rock and folk. Jon Calligeri:on Bass; was the second addition to the project, and solidified the group carrying the band through as a three peice untill, Josh Chaplin; Smiths former roomate/bandmate; stepped in adding Slide, Rhythm, and Lead Guitars, as well as Keys, Mandolin, Glokenspiel and god only knows whats to follow. Smith, having been part of numerous bands has developed his style through varied influence, as have the others in the group. The sound is not hard to describe, but perhaps hard to categorize. From electric rock, to intimate acoustic folk performances his passion for music is felt. You can expect to hear a constant reinvention of his style and mix of material, both live and in his recordings. Also look for Smiths work in other projects, past and present, such as: Fineas Fog ( on myspace ) Short Pants Romance (1998-2003) Late Blues Legend-Johnny Stevens Band (2003-2005) and Chestnut HIll Buddies (2002-2004) also playing guitar for Mr Pitiful this summer.
