Services for the UnderServed (SUS) will host the Inaugural Dinner for a Better New York on Wednesday, March 6th from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM at Riverpark Restaurant, 450 East 29th Street, Manhattan. Joined by leaders in the food and entertainment industries, the dinner will celebrate the efforts of SUS’ human service programs in helping to make New York a better city for all who live, work and enjoy it.
The dinner, featuring celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern, producer and host of the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods, will present international dishes from a collection of respected chefs. A live performance by award-winning Broadway composer-lyricist Amanda Green will round out the evening’s entertainment.

The event will raise funds for SUS’ mission to provide support services for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges and HIV/AIDS, often compounded by homelessness.

Founded in 1978, SUS has gained a reputation for helping individuals and families with special needs that are living with a wide range of challenges—mental illness, developmental disability, physical disability, HIV/AIDS, poverty, unemployment, homelessness and addiction. SUS serves over 3,000 people daily in New York City and on Long Island.
