Adapted for stage by Canadian Serge Lamothe, The Temple of the Golden Pavilion makes its US premiere as part of Lincoln Center Festival. Based on the novel by Yukio Mishima, this is a theatrical tale of a young monk, Mizoguchi, who becomes obsessed with beauty’s destruction. This ground-breaking play paints an intensely personal picture of Japan in the troubled World War II years.
