When the television series "Firefly" went off the air, fans of the show rallied and raved -- and the studios responded with the release of the feature film 'Serenity.' A year later, that fan community is making their voices heard again by holding worldwide screenings of 'Serenity' to benefit one of "Firefly" creator Joss Whedon's favorite charities, Equality Now, on Friday, June 23, 2006.
The Studio Movie Grill in Addison will be hosting the North Texas 'Serenity' screening at midnight on Friday, June 23. Tickets are available through the event's web site, http://Serenity.TheAmigos.net, for $10 in advance, or $12 at the door the night of the event.
