This month, we're going to take a break from the lightning talks, with some new topics:
* The recently-concluded "Rails Rumble" -- a 48-hour hack-a-thon produced some cools Rails apps from scratch, in just two days: http://r09.railsrumble.com/entries Talk about rapid development!
* The founders of Euraeka, a local Ruby-based startup that uses some less conventional tools like Merb and Sequel, will be sharing their experiences -- both business and technological
* Anything else you'd like to speak about. This is a great chance for some of you guys and gals lingering in the back of the room to share some of the cool things you are working on. Don't be shy -- you're among fellow geeks. :)
We need presenters, so if you participated in the Rails Rumble this year, or have a topic or project on which you'd like to do a 15-minute presentation, please email me at joe at intridea.com and I'll add you to the list. You can show off your Rumble entry or simply talk about what it's like developing a site under extreme constraints.
If you presented last month, you are welcome to give a presentation this time, too.
And, by popular demand, we'll be heading over to Post Pub around the corner, for a beer or two after the meeting, to unwind and socialize.
