Sensory Expressions Steel Drum Band – Free Concert August 5, 2012

Free concert presented by PineCone & the Town of Wake Forest.
Sensory Expressions features steel drums, saxophone, and a variety of other traditional instruments. Their music ranges from traditional-sounding calypso tunes to pop covers with some Carribean flair. The steel pan is a chromatically pitched percussion instrument developed in Trinidad and Tobago. This unique instrument is known for its ringing metallic timbre and its use in Caribbean music.
