Navigate the maze of California's myriad laws on employee leaves of absence. Develop effective policies and implement a program for complying with all state and federal statutes. You will learn to:
-Identify and interpret the full scope of California employee leave laws
-Explore the interrelationships between California and federal laws such as FMLA and ADA
-Determine available sources of income and benefits for employees
-Implement a policy and program to comply with all time off statutes
Speaker: Mary Topliff, principal of Law Offices of Mary L. Topliff, in San Francisco, specializes in employment law counseling, training and compliance. She advises employers on all aspects of employment law, including designing and auditing time off polices to achieve compliance and employer objectives. Ms. Topliff currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Human Resources Association.
