The finale of PCC’s Semana de la Raza celebration of Latino culture and activism, will take place on Friday, April 29, from 4pm to 8pm, in Building 3 of the Rock Creek Campus (17705 NW Springville Rd.). The event begins with a ceremony to honor PCC students, staff and community members who have exhibited distinguished community service. It continues with a concert by the Miguel Bernal Trio and culminates with Teatro Milagro’s newest play, Duende De Lorca, about a struggling artist, Frederico Garcia Lorca, who strikes out on a quest for cultural integration and gender acceptance. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is $3.
