Selling Your Patent Workshop October 17, 2007

In this seminar, patentholders will learn how they can maximize the value of their intellectual property assets by selling or licensing their patents and portfolios. Topics covered will include licensing arrangements, patent valuation, patent acquisition and patent sales.

Speakers are Andre L. Marais and David Smith. Andre Marais is a registered patent attorney and shareholder of Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner. His practice includes strategic IP counseling, patent prosecution (US and foreign), patent validity, infringement, and IP due diligence work particularly in the internet, software, communications and electrical/electronic technologies.

Our second speaker, David Smith, is the founder of Tynax, the technology trading exchange which facilitates technology transfer among professionals from all areas of research, development, and commercialization. He is also president of Astecs, the Association of Technology Entrepreneurs and author of the book Zero-to-IPO.
