Now is the time to empower yourself with the skills and techniques needed for personal safety and self-defense. Master the skills to focus, remain calm, and respond appropriately in intimidating or frightening situations. During this course, focus on the mental and emotional aspects of self-defense. Increase your awareness of self and others in your environment. Learn to de-escalate conflict and communicate your boundaries clearly. Briefly practice drills and self-defense maneuvers so that you can protect yourself physically during dangerous encounters.
