Happy Birthday, Queen Elizabeth II! Since the early 1700s, English people have celebrated “Trooping the Colour,” an event that takes place every June to celebrate the ruling monarch’s birthday. In 2011, “Trooping the Colour” falls on June 11. So, even though Queen Elizabeth’s real birthday is on April 21, we’re celebrating her – and other English Kings and Queens – at this month’s SECOND SATURDAY. All SECOND SATURDAY activities are included with admission for all museum visitors. As always, museum admission is FREE for all Kids Club members (and it’s free to join)! For this month’s SECOND SATURDAY, Kids Club members also get access to an exclusive “birthday party,” including cake and English party games, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Education Center. Please RSVP to the party by contacting the Coordinator of Family Programs, Stephanie Moyer at smoyer@fraziermuseum.org or call (502)753-1045.
