Welcome to the SUMMER SMACK DOWN: ROUND 1: France vs Spain

Eight wine regions will enter but only one will be victorious! It’s the 1st Annual Second Glass Summer Smackdown! Over the course of eight weeks, the biggest names in wine will compete in a single elimination tournament. At each event we’ll pit the heavy hitters of the regions against one another and you, the audience, will vote on your favorites. In Round One watch French Bordeaux go head to head against Spanish Rioja and you pick the winner.

It’s a no-holds-barred fight to the finish for the greatest wine region on Earth. Second Glass experts will facilitate the tasting, drop knowledge about the regions and explain why the wines are a valiant fight. All of this, while rocking out to Eye of the Tiger.

The battles will be held at Downtown Wine and Spirits, 225 Elm Street in Somerville. Tickets are $10 each, OR you can buy a Season Ticket for $65!
