The Second Fiddles are a New York based trio in the tradition of the great stringbands that performed at the turn of the century. The artists that traveled with the medicine shows were adept at all genre's of American roots music. The Second Fiddles pull from the song books of country, blues, bluegrass, gospel and swing bands of the '20s, '30s and '40s. The Wiyos play a mix of blues, country and folk music. The trio is comprised of three-part vocals, washboard/harmonica/kazoo, guitar and upright bass. The band creates an interactive and visual show in the tradition of performers like Fats Waller, Spike Jones and Uncle Dave Macon.
