Seattle Design Festival 2011 September 16, 2011

The first-ever Seattle Design Festival is coming this fall: ten days of public programs celebrating and revealing great design of many kinds, from September 16-25, 2011.

Increasingly Seattle is a city of design, from world-class parks and libraries to high-tech outdoor gear and digital game design. Great design aids innovation, creates value for business, and makes our city both more beautiful and more livable. But the process of design and the many ways it affects us often go unnoticed. With this year’s theme of “Beneath the Surface,” festival organizers aim to show aspects of design that are hidden from view.
