The Seabird Ecological Assessment Network (SEANET) is a vibrant, volunteer citizen scientist research program along the eastern seaboard of the United States. Volunteers choose a section of coastline and monitor that beach weekly, twice monthly, or monthly year-round, collecting data on live and dead seabirds. These data are invaluable in assessing patterns of seabird mortality, and the impacts of oil spills, coastal development, and disease. Come learn about this program and how you can be a part of a growing network of conservation-minded volunteers. Registration is required. Call 978-887-9264 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=1248-IP10SU1 for more information.
