A profoundly moving music drama for chorus, dancers and soloists, and a contemporary answer to Rachmaninov's "Vespers", Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin's Sealed Angel is brilliantly choreographed by Lars Scheibner (Berlin) and integrates 70 voices, 5 dancers, 2 boy sopranos and solo flute in a stunning and powerful panorama.
Performed by Toronto's Elmer Iseler Singers and the Amadeus Choir, conducted by Lydia Adams, and featuring ProArteDanza.
The program also includes celebrated Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho's shimmering choral work Tag des Jahrs.
