SDoun, is a soulful singer, songwriter and pianist whose sultry style bridges the gap between pop and R&B. One of New York Citys most promising new musical talents, SDoun is on the cutting edge of the contemporary neo-soul movement. In 2005, he performed a duet with Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys at New Yorks Lincoln Center for the Keep A Child Alive Annual Black Ball fundraiser, presented by TIME Magazine. SDouns eclectic mix of musical influences include legendary artists Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Elton John as well as prominent newcomers such as John Legend and John Mayer. His powerful vocals and expressive lyrics speak to moments of great joy and the pain of loss. As a performer, SDoun's magnetic presence and sea green eyes draw his fans into an intimate concert experience. SDoun began composing music at age 7 and studied classical piano at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. By age 15, he had performed at Carnegie Hall where he won an award presented by Oxford's Trinity College. I had posters of Mozart and Beethoven on my bedroom wall. I wanted to be a conductor or a concert pianist, he admits. But once a friend introduced him to the music of piano man Billy Joel, SDoun set his sights on a career as a performer. I never thought music could feel like that, he says. SDoun is signed as a songwriter to Bug/Windswept, a major music publisher.
