This talk will cover the current architecture of Second Life, the design features that make it work, and directions for its future evolution. It will also touch on the engineering culture at Linden Lab, and how that influences the design.
Talk given by Mark Lentczner, who directs a software engineering studio at Linden Lab. His studio is primarily focused on the architectural extension of Second Life and the software infrastructure to support it.
