Students will begin this basket by plaiting a sqaure base of flat reed. The sides are woven with both natural flat oval reed and fragrant seagrass and accented with glass beads. Students will learn how to control shaping and join the seagrass to create a continuous weaver. The excitement (and secret) in this basket comes after you finish the lashing and reshape the rim. The finished basket measures 12 inches in diameter (may vary) by 12 inches deep. This class is appropriate for all levels of weaving experience. Registration is required.
