Have You Heard of the San Francisco Mime Troupe? (1967) by Don Lenzer is a portrait of the company in its first decade: audience- gathering in the streets, setting up in the parks, debating finances and direction in a company meeting led by founder R.G. Davis, with extensive footage of a commedia dell arte performance in 1966 and the controversial production which first won the Troupe wide notoriety and fame -- A Minstrel Show, or Civil Rights in a Cracker Barrel. Reception to follow.
