Sci Fi London 8: World Premiere of Recon 2023 & talk with Director Christian Viel May 2, 2009

In 2004 we screened the UK premiere of RECON 2020. In 2006 we presented the world premiere of RECON 2022. In 2009 we are delighted to host the world premiere of the third installment of the amazingly accomplished RECON series.

We are also honoured to have director Christian Viel introduce the movie, and answer questions after the screening.

After 23 years of a gruelling intergalactic war, humanity is about to launch the biggest coordinated attack in its history in order to take a final stand against the invading Ma'hars. In order for that mission to succeed, the Ma'hars' principal weapon must be destroyed. Lieutenant Sharp and his team are dispatched to the treacherous deserts of Gauda Prime, where they are forced to team up with a crack team of android commandos. They must seek out and destroy the Ma'har weapon before the attack is launched and all is lost. Political intrigues will prove as challenging as the wild fauna populating Gauda Prime, but Sharp and his team are determined to provide humanity a fighting chance against the deadly Ma'har armada.

You don't need to have seen the previous two movies to enjoy the latest episode of Viel's epic space opera. If you are already suffering withdrawals from the ending of Battlestar Galactica then Recon 2023 is the perfect antidote.
