April 3-April 28, depart at 11:00am, 12:30pm, and 2:00pm each Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
This April, the Western Railway Museum invites visitors to join us on a true California experience for the 12th annual run of the historic 'Scenic Limited' during the spectacular spring wildflower season.
Running on historic Sacramento Northern tracks, the 'Scenic Limited' takes passengers on a beautiful hour-long, 11-mile round-trip ride with ever-changing views of Solano County's native wildflowers. Along the way, stay tuned to the Museum docents, who are there to point out the poppies, goldfields, brass buttons, butter and eggs, clover, and sheep's sorrel blooming on nearby hillsides and fields.
Book now to reserve a First Class seat in the restored 1914 Salt Lake and Utah Railway observation parlor car #751, where cookies and lemonade are served by uniformed attendants. Coach passengers will ride in Sacramento Northern interurban #1005, which was restored by Museum volunteers alongside #751.
Visitors can also tour the Rail car Display House and the Exhibit Hall, picnic in the Museum's spacious park, and shop in the Museum Store. Parking is both plentiful and free.
The 'Scenic Limited' runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm, so book your ride today.
*Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure and note that the train departs on time.
