What better way to chase the chill away than with docents Bernie Larkin and Stella Yang on visits to a variety of District preserves on these 3- to 5-mile, moderately-paced aerobic outings. The focus of these excursions is on moving so there will be few, if any, stops along the way. For this activity at Long Ridge Open Space Preserve, meet at the Grizzly Flat trailhead on the west side of Skyline Boulevard 3.6 miles north of Highway 9, or 3.3 miles south of Page Mill Road. If you are traveling from the north on Skyline Blvd., the pullout is just past Portola Heights Road on the right. From the south, the pullout is near the Palo Alto city limits sign on the right.
