A premier screening of ‘Scenes of Afghan Music: London, Kabul, Hamburg, Dublin’, a film by Professor John Baily, is being held at Goldsmiths, University of London on 13 November.

John Baily, Professor of Ethnomusicology at Goldsmiths, has been researching and performing Afghan music since the 1970s. ‘Scenes of Afghan Music’ shows his recent work on Afghan music in London and on the city’s musical communications with Afghanistan and the Afghan diaspora. The film has been funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Diasporas, Migration and Identities programme.
